Marietta Journal & Courier February 1, 1918
From the Marietta Journal & Courier dated Friday, February 1 1918:

KENNESAW

Mrs W P BARNETT (nee Miss Willie BALDWIN), daughter of Mr and Mrs S J BALDWIN,
died at her home in Atlanta January the 19th.  The remains were brought to the
home of Mr BALDWIN here Sunday a week ago where the funeral was conducted by Rev
J M SPINKS and Rev G S BOND, in the presence of many relatives and friends.  Mrs
BARNETT is survived by her husband, Mr W P BARNETT, two sisters, Mrs J R BUTLER
and Miss Minnie BALDWIN, one half-sister, Miss Annie Lee BALDWIN, and one
half-brother, Mr Roy A BALDWIN, who have the sympathy of the entire community.

The three months old infant of Mr and Mrs James HILDERBRAND was found dead in
bed January 17th.  The remains were buried in the cemetery here and the many
friends deeply sympathize with the bereaved parents.

Mr Del JONES of Rome died at his siter's, Mrs CHALKER, Jan. 24th.  The remains
were carried to Salem for interment.  Two boys, Messrs Walter and Luther JONES,
survive him.

Mrs Annie WORLEY, former of Atlanta, spent Sunday with Mrs P L CONNOR.  She was
returning to her father's, Mr J P WORLEY, at Pine Mountain.

Mr and Mrs Bud McAFEE of Marietta are visiting Mr and Mrs John McAFEE.

Mrs Albert BENSON of Marietta was a recent visitor of her mother, Mrs R D EIDSON.

Mrs George SUMMERS and Mrs James BRADLEY of Atlanta attended Mrs BARNETT's
funeral here Sunday week.  They are remembered by the older people here as Annie
and Cora OWEN, daughters of Mr and Mrs George OWEN, who were residents here
years ago.
