Mr VARNON came here some twenty years ago from Alabama. He was an employee of the W & A Road and was married to Miss Nolar GIBSON of this place, who survives him with five children, who have the entire sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement. The infant of Mr and Mrs E G HILL, born January 11th, was interred in the cemetery here on the 12th. G D D Joseph LACY installed the following officers in Kennesaw Lodge No. 214, IOOF, for the ensuing year: Joseph LACY, N G; J B BUNKLEY, V G; E G HILL, Treas.; J P McGEER, Sec'y; J L JILES, Warden; B H HILL, R S to N G; W L SATTERFIELD, L S to N G; W T BORING, O S G; F M LACY, Chaplain. Myuheardt Lodge No. 314, AF&AM, installed the following: C F MORGAN, W M; J S LUCAS, S W; F M LACY, J W; E Y HILL, Treas; B H CARRIE, Sec'y; W B GRIGGS, S D; W T BORING, J D; L E MITCHELL, S S; N C WHITFIELD, J S; D M GENTRY, Tyler; G S BONDS, Chaplain. Mr G W PRICHARD left Friday for Steele, Ala., where he will be married to Miss Daisy MOOR, of that place. Mrs Rube BOSTON of Atlanta was a recent visitor of Mrs P L CONNER and family. Mrs BROOKS and daughter, Miss Easter, of Cherokee, have moved here. Mrs (sic) John LESTER and wife of Fairburn have moved back here. Mr and Mrs Charlie DURHAM have moved back from Atlanta. Miss McINTYRE of Dalton was a recent visitor of Mrs T J HARDAGE. Miss Nannie ROBERTS is now ticket agent at the depot here.
