The funeral was conducted at the Baptist church Saturday at 11 o'clock by Rev Mr WEBB of Atlanta. The interment was in the church yard. Mr PYLANT was born in Edgefield district, South Carolina. Came to Georgia in 1854 and settled near Atlanta. He married Miss Nancy L TODD, who died three years ago. He served through the war in Cobb's Legion. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist church. We sympathize with his two sons, Messrs R L and S R PYLANT, his only children who survive him. Mr and Mrs Lucius LEATHERS of Villa Rica are visiting Mrs LEATHERS' mother, Mrs S J PYRON. Mr and Mrs Thomas BROOKS of Atlanta visited Mrs BROOKS' mother here last week. Colonel J G GILES of Marietta spent Sunday here. Misses Minnie LUNSFORD and ----- KITCHEN of Acworth spent Saturday and Sunday here. Mr Felton WOOTEN of Atlanta visited Mr and Mrs W O ROBERTS recently. Charlie, the little son of Mr and Mrs Newt WHITFIELD, is sick. We hope for his speedy recovery. Mr John ARRINGTON of Mableton is visiting his brother, Mr A L ARRINGTON.
