Prof J R WHITAKER was at Emmerson and Cartersville Friday and Saturday in the interest of education. Mr and Mrs Albert WHITFIELD and Mrs Bertie ALLEN spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs Lem WHITFIELD. Mr and Mrs STARNES of Stilesburg visited Mr and Mrs I A KITCHEN Sunday. Mrs Lizze BORING, Master Olin ELLIS and Miss Ruby ELLIS spent Saturday in Marietta. Mr and Mrs Emmett BENSON had as their guests Sunday Misses Mary and Carrie LATIMER, George BENSON, Mr and Mrs Millard BENSON, of Marietta, and Miss May GROGAN of Kennesaw. Mr and Mrs B M STANLEY received the sad intelligence Sunday afternoon of the death of their son, Andrew, at Memphis, Tenn. Mr STANLEY has gone to Memphis, and will bring the remains here for interment. Mrs E G HILL and sons visited relatives in Acworth recently. Miss Lector SPIERS of Fairburn is visiting her sister, Mrs W O ROBERTS. Miss Lucile BENSON spent a week recently with relatives and friends in Marietta. Mr and Mrs S J CASON and son, Fred, and Misses Edith and Alice CASON visited in Atlanta last week. Mr Marshall ELLIS of Waco, Texas, and Mrs Laura SAPP of Inks, Mississippi, are visiting their parents, Mr and Mrs Sam ELLIS. Mr and Mrs John LESTER are visiting in Campbell county. The singing in the Sacred Harp book, at Mr D R HITT's Sunday afternoon, was enjoyed by quite a large crowd. The ladies of this place will hold a bazaar, December 2nd, 3rd and 4th, at the drug store, in the interest of the school house building fund. On Saturday a delicious dinner will be served from 12 to 3 pm for the small price of 25 cents. Every one is urged to attend this bazaar, and to get dinner with the ladies on Saturday. Everyone should be interested in Kennesaw's nice school building, and the ladies who are working so faithfully for the cause of education will appreciate your help and support. Mrs E G GAULT is having a nice dwelling erected on Cherokee street. When completed it will be occupied by Mr WHITWORTH and family of Altoona. We welcome Mr WHITWORTH and family, and hope they will locate here permanently. Miss Grady CONNER is teaching school at the Kennesaw Mount school house. Miss Grady is one of our brightest girls and a graduate of Young Harris college. Dr J E LESTER attended the North Georgia Conference of the Methodist Church in Atlanta last week. Messrs AUSTIN & HOOKS have purchased a cold tire set for their blacksmith shop, and guarantee all work. Mr AUSTIN was one of the unfortunates in the recent cyclone, part of his house blowing away, and will appreciate your work. Messrs James, Owen and Joseph ADAIR have quite a lot of lumber for sale, and would appreciate your order. Their lumber was blown down by the cyclone that was so disastrous last month. Mr Monroe HILDERBRAND has overhauled and rebuilt his house, which makes quite a change in its appearance. Mrs R O EIDSON was quite sick last week. Her many friends are glad to know she is recovering.
