The Marietta Journal December 7, 1893
LOST MOUNTAIN

Mr Felton DOBBS, from near Canton, visited the family of Mr J C PICKENS, last week.

Mr A N MAYES returned home from the N G A College and will resume his school
again at Due West.

DIED - Miss Sallie WRIGHT fell asleep in Jesus at her home in Atlanta last
Friday evening and her remains were brought here for burial.  Rev J A MORGAN
conducted the funeral exercises.  She was a constant member of the Baptist
church.  Invalid for many years, she met every day's duties cheerfully.  Her
piety under God's grace has left its impression upon all who knew her.

Mr B W GRIGGS as chaperone for the following crowd went on a pleasure trip to
Knoxville last week: Messrs Will WILLIAMS, Isaac KEMP, Ben HILL, Elijah DAVIS
and Misses Lizzie KEMP, Lena MARTIN, Zonie and Hattie MAYES.  All report a fine
time.
