Sam Moon of Atlanta spent a few days here recently visiting his mother. Mrs Frank Lewis was stricken with paralysis last Thursday, but is better at this time. Senate Mohon is fast recovering from a spell of typhoid fever. Rev E M Dyer filled his first appointment here Saturday and Sunday. The calendar and almanac have got the date for Thanksgiving mixed. One has it the 23rd the other the 30th, but the president's proclamation reads November 30th. - Allen MT ZION Mrs George Greer spent one day last week in Maritta with her father, Mr W C Kemp. He and Miss Lena Kemp have gone to Daytona Beach, Florida, where they will spend the winter. Master Paul Kirk has returned home after a week's stay with relatives in Atlanta. Mr and Mrs W J Phagan and Mis Ruth Phagan, of Butlers, spent last Sunday with Mr and Mrs Egbert Phagan. Mr and Mrs Lee Grogan spent Saturday night in Marietta with Mr and Mrs Tom Robertston. The candy pulling given by Miss Ollie Polston one night last week was enjoyed by all present.
