LOST MOUNTAIN

Omer PICKENS is at Wrightsville, Ga., delivering pictures for the Chicago
Portrait Company.

DIED - On the 4th inst., John Tennison, the 4 year old son of Mr and Mrs Thomas
B GUFFIN.  He was buried at Midway cemetery.  The funeral was conducted by Rev
Henry B SEARIGHT.  They have the sympathy of the neighbors and friends in their
sore bereavement.

Lost Mountain Lodge No 592, C M A is in a flourishing condition and are adding
new members every meeting.  They meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday nights in the
Masonic hall.

The young people gave Miss Beatrice PICKENS a surprise party last Friday night.
 It being her birthday.  It was a very pleasant and enjoyable occasion to all
present.

Miss Ottie KEMP has gone to Brownsville, Ga., where she will take charge of a
music class.

Dr J R GREER of Marietta spent Sunday here.  His wife, who had been visiting
here, accompanied him home Sunday afternoon.

W A McDONALD and Sherd PICKENS were elected elders of Midway church Sunday.  The
ordination will take place the 1st Sunday in January.

J W SPEARMAN a representative of the Woodmen of the World is here to organize a
lodge.  We know little about the Woodmen of the World, but have been a life long
member of the Plowmen of the World and can give you any degree in this order you
wish to take.

Born to Mr and Mrs J R DOBBINS, a fine boy.

The recent rains have put the roads in a bad condition and we listen now to hear
some articles on the good roads movements.
