Lucius Scott and Elmore Wardlaw of St Louis are expected home this week to spend the holidays. The friends and congregation of Rev H B Searight will learn with sadness of the death of Mrs H B Searight, which occurred Saturday morning, December 17th, at her home in Acworth. We join the many friends in heart-felt sympathies to the sorrowing husband in his sad bereavement. Mr W N Hamilton of Thomasville, Ga., will join his wife here this week to spend the holidays with relatives and friends. MACLAND Mr Marion Dobbs has come home from young Harris College to spend the holidays with homefolks. Mr Charlie Guffin and family of Wyatt, Texas, arrived here last week and will make their future home here. Mr Guffin will engage in farming with his father, Mr Robt Guffin, of this place. Mr Martin Griggs of near Marietta, while at his father's last Tuesday, fell from his wagon and dislocated his arm at the shoulder. Drs Middlebrooks and Cotton of Powder Springs gave medical attention and he is getting on nicely. Mr Coy White has his new residence near completion. If some of the girls have failed to take advantage of leap year, they may have failed to occupy this new house. NOONDAY Mr and Mrs H D Lacy and children of Woodstock visited his brother, J F Beavers and family Sunday. Rev E M Dyer will fill his regular appointment here Saturday and Sunday. Mr Oscar Benson of this place has moved to his farm near Marietta. Miss Carrie Latimer has returned home from Marietta.
