He is now in the Elkin-Goldsmith sanitarium in Atlanta. His shoulder was dislocated and he was badly cut and bruised. Mr JORDAN was a member of the crew of a work train and had placed a signal flag on the track to prevent a rear end collision. The engineer of an L & N freight train ran by the signal and crashed into the rear of the work train. The big locomotive ploughed its way through five cars and fifteen people were killed. The only thing that saved Mr JORDAN was that he had gone to the engine to get a match to light a cigarette and was not on the rear of the train when the crash came.
