Mrs A A JONES, of Lexington, Mo., is visiting her sister, Mrs J R MILLER, in this place. Our clever and courteous young friend, Mr James O HAMMETT, is now clerk at the Elmwood Hotel. He will fill the position with satisfaction to the public. Miss Anna DAVIS, of Bartow county, has been in the city several days, stopping with her sister, Mrs SHOCKLEY, at the Elmwood Hotel. Prof Thomas A MURRAY of Conyers, Ga., as been elected principal of the Marietta Male Academy. He is a brother of Mr Joe MURRAY of this place and has the reputation of being one of the best teachers in the State. He taught at Acworth a number of years and for the past four years at Conyers. He has been quite successful and always given satisfaction. He will employ able assistants and give our people a first class school and good honest work.
