Marietta Journal February 22, 1906
From the Marietta Journal dated Thursday, February 22 1906:

NEW SALEM

Mrs P M HAIRSTON, we regret to say, is not any better.

Quite a number attended the singing at the residence of Mr and Mrs I R GUFFIN on
last Tuesday night.

Mr and Mrs Preston ALEXANDER of Marietta have moved into the residence with Mrs
M M ALEXANDER at this place.

The entertainment, given by Miss Minnie FLEMING, on last Monday night was highly
enjoyed by every one present.

Miss Oneida PHILLIPS of Elizabeth visited friends at this place Saturday and
Sunday.

Miss Nella COOK is visiting relatives at Canton.

Mr Dick JACKSON is visiting relatives in Rome.

Mrs John EUBANKS and little son of Concord, Tenn., are visiting the family of Mr
William EUBANKS.

Mr and Mrs W T GUFFIN visited her sister, Mrs ADAIR, near New Hope Saturday and
Sunday.

Mr and Mrs Jim BATES spent Sunday with relatives at Lost Mountain.

Mr and Mrs D GREEN of near Lost Mountain spent Sunday with the family of Mr
Henry ORR.
