NEW SALEM

Married - At the home of the bride's parents, Rev and Mrs W E McCOLLUM, on
Sunday morning, Mr Clint DARBY and Miss Levie McCOLLUM.  The bride is a
beautiful and accomplished young lady.  The groom is a very energetic and
popular young man.  Rev J J CROW performed the ceremony, after which the happy
couple and invited guests went to church and from there to the home of the
bride, where an elegant dinner was served.  Their many friends wish for them
much happiness.  They will reside with Mr and Mrs BELLENGER.

The singing at Mr and Mrs WILLIAMS' home Sunday night was enjoyed by a large crowd.

Mr Dock JACKSON, of Rome, is spending some time with friends and relatives here.

Mr and Mrs George LEAVELL, of near Austell, visited his father, A J LEAVELL,
Sunday.

Mr R P COX left Friday for Clear Water, Fla., to spend the winter.

Rev J J CROW filled his regular appointment here Saturday and Sunday.  He
delivered very able sermons to a large crowd.

Mr C A ALEXANDER visited in Atlanta Saturday.
