The Marietta Journal January 10, 1919
NEW SALEM

The death angel visited his home last Wednesday, and took away the spirit of Mr
Calvin ADAIR, husband of Mrs Carnelia ADAIR.  He lived only a few days after
contracting pneumonia.  He was raised in this community and spent most of his
life here.  Mr ADAIR joined the church when a young man and was a beloved
husband and father, a kind and affectionate neighbor.  To know Mr ADAIR was to
love him, he made friends of all who met him.  He is survived by a wife and
three children, and father and mother, Mr and Mrs George ADAIR and six sisters
and four brothers and a host of fiends to mourn his departure.  The bereaved
ones have our sympathy.

Mr Pal HAIRSTON of Marietta called to see his sister, Mrs Z E CARNES last Thursday.

The remains of the little daughter of Mr and Mrs Willie JAMASSOUS was brought to
this place last Wednesday for funeral services and interment.

Mrs W A FRASURE is on the sick list at this writing.
