Eugene DEFOOR who is with the Marine Corps stationed in South Carolina spent the holidays with home folks here. Mr J C NICHOLSON has been indisposed for several days, suffering from some fractured ribs, caused by falling from a loaded wagon. Charles, the little son of Mr and Mrs Harve CHANCE, who has been very low with pneumonia is improving. Miss Ethel GOSS opened school at Noonday Monday. Messrs HARPER, RANGE and BALLEW recently moved their families into our community. We extend to these good people a hearty welcome. Mrs Jennie WHITE is visiting relatives this week. Mr and Mrs Melvin GUNNIN are being congratulated upon the arrival of a fine boy at their home. Those that are victims of the flu here this week, are Mr and Mrs Clyde ROGERS and baby, Mrs Thurman BETTIS, Mrs Will DOBBS, Howard, Cliff and Mary DOBBS, Pettett NICHOLSON, Roy ROGERS, Clyde HOWARD and Etna DEANE. Mr and Mrs Jeff DOBBS and daughter, Thelma, spent last Wednesday with Mr and Mrs Ralph DeFOOR. Married: Miss Jessie LIVELY and Mr Raymon RAKESTRAW. This young couple have our best wishes. Miss Maud REYNOLDS and brother, Ernest, visited relatives here last week.
