Mr Tippin is survived by his wife, who was Miss Ida Avery, and three children, Mrs Virgil Gray of Kennesaw; Mrs C C Butler of Marietta; and Mr R S Tippin of Acworth. (**) Little Albert Durham, the two-year old son of Dr and Mrs A J Durham, died rather suddenly Thursday afternoon. He was buried Saturday afternoon, the simple funeral service being conducted at the home. Mrs Tomlin of Statesville, N. C., is with her daughter, Mrs A J Durham. Mrs W J Bisoner and little daughter, Emelyn, of Cedartown have been visiting Acworth relatives. She returned home Sunday afternoon thru the country accompanied by her father, Mr J W McMillan, and Miss Lillian and Mr George McMillan, who will spend a few days in Cedartown. Rev C L Power of West Point, Miss., and Rev H M McLain of Winders, La., were recent visitors to their father, Mr A P McLain, who continues seriously ill. Acworth is planning to build a town hall which will have space to accommodate all the city departments. Mrs H A Orr of Calhoun is the guest of her father and mother, Mr and Mrs J L Nichols. Those attending the High School meet in Rome were Miss Fredonia Field, Misses Annie Laurie Hunter, Mary Dell McMillan, Bertie Rackley and Isabella Collins; Messrs Robert Clark and Collins Durham. Mrs Elmer Phillips of Atlanta was a recent visitor in Acworth. Those attending the B Y P U meeting in Marietta were Mr and Mrs M A Goodwin, Rev and Mrs Lon Davis, Mr and Mrs E J Carr, Mrs J H Smith and Mr J H Perkinson. Additional Comments: ** Sidney J Tippin was the son of David Jackson Tippin and Lena Mayfield. He and Ida Avery married on November 11 1883 in Acworth. Their children were Elwin A, Hattie M (Mrs Virgil Gray), Roy Sterling, and Frances M (Mrs C C Butler). Sidney and Ida are buried at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Acworth.
