OCTAVIA

DIED - Mr Frank SCOTT died on the night of the 20th inst.  He leaves a wife and
three children and many relatives to mourn his loss.  The funeral services were
conducted by Rev BOURNE at Midway.

Mr and Mrs B W GRIGGS visited Austell last week to overhaul and otherwise
improve their city property at that place.

There was a hog-goat, magic lantern, slight of hand show at Due West last
Saturday night but we took Beulah's advice and did not give them any money.

Mr S F MAYES has sheared many acres of forage with his mower, leaving the land
looking as neat as a country boy's head after his hair has been cropped.

Mr LEGG and wife attended the funeral of her father at Midway last Sunday.

Mr C J BULLARD and family visited Mr Will FREY's last Sunday.

Mr Jeff SCOTT and son of Cedartown were in our community last Sunday.
