The Marietta Journal April 28, 1904
OCTAVIA

Well, the election is over and we do not see a candidate or his agent on the
road.  This part of the country is lonely and very quiet, and accepts the results.

Miss May Brewer of Marietta visited Mrs J A Templeton last Saturday and Sunday.

W M Warren visited his son-in-law near Cross Road Church on last Sunday.

J E O Daniel went to Paulding county last Saturday after a load of ware.  He
could find plenty of empty jugs in Cobb county after the election, but the ware
was not in the right shape to suit a family grocery merchant in a prohibition
county.
