The Marietta Journal June 17, 1897
OLIVE SPRINGS

The Olive Springs literary society will hold their picnic at Maloney Springs on
Saturday, July 3rd.  All the literary clubs in the county are invited to attend.

Miss Ida GREEN of Marietta visited the family of J J YORK last Saturday and Sunday.

C J MOORE, while helping to break a horse last week was severely kicked.

There was a large attendance at the singing at Olive Springs Sunday.

Some of Oregon's young people visited our community last Sunday.

Sunday school at this place is in a flourishing condition.

Rev MADDOX preached a very able and interesting sermon to a large congregation
Sunday.
