His wife still survives him and he also leaves four daughters, Mrs I V DANIELL, Mrs Milton McLARTY, Mrs P H GUNN, of this place and Mrs B S WADE of Dallas. Two brothers, Mr T T ALEXANDER of this community and Mr Billie ALEXANDER of Alabama and one sister, Mrs Eliza BARBER of Mableton. She (sic) was a member of the Baptist church and lived an upright Christian life. Rev George V CROW conducted the funeral at Milford on Wednesday afternoon and interment was in Milford cemetery. A large concourse of friends and neighbors attended the funeral. We join the community in expressing our profound sympathy. School began here on Monday last with Prof B F WHITNEY of Smyrna as principal and Miss Frances DAVIS of Tennessee as his assistant. The death of Mrs R A TURNER which occurred at her home near Lithia Springs on Friday Nov 16 brought a feeling of sadness to many at Olive Springs. Mrs TURNER had been sick for several weeks and although all was done for her that tender hearts and loving hands could and she gradually grew weaker, passing away on Friday night. Besides a devoted husband she leaves six children, Mrs Jessie McDUFFIE and Mr Pete TURNER of Atlanta, Ben and Mark TURNER of Lithia Springs, Dock and John TURNER of Texas. Three sister, Mrs A G RHODES of Atlanta, Mrs J B SMITH of Cartersville, and Mrs S J PYRON of Kennesaw, and a large number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr G E CROW of this place being one of her nephews. The funeral service was conducted at Maloney Springs by the pastor Rev H G MITCHELL, on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. The choir sang very sweetly "Beautiful Land" "Asleep in Jesus" and "Nearer My God to Thee." The floral offerings were lovely. Mrs TURNER was a Christian and a devoted wife and mother and will be sadly missed. The interment was in Maloney Springs cemetery. We extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaved ones. The singing here on Sunday afternoon was well attended and the following officers were elected for the ensuing year. Col Jessie L MOORE, President; J H YORK, W H KNOX and H L MARTIN, Vice Presidents; H L MARTIN, organist. T F KNOX and J H YORK were appointed on a committee to buy books for the class, and will be changed from the first and third into the second and fourth Sunday afternoons. Will be glad to have as many as possible out on next Sunday afternoon. Those attending Mrs R A TURNER's funeral here Sunday were Mr Will SMITH and family of Cartersville, Mrs S J PYRON of Kennesaw and Miss Mollie CROW, Mr S J CROW and family of Smyrna, Mr and Mrs H N BARFIELD of New Hope. Mr J H MOON and sister Miss Mary Lizzie MOON of Floyd, Miss Susie GANN of Atlanta, Mr N A BREWER and daughter Miss Lucy BREWER of Marietta. Mr Marcus TURNER and family wish to thank their friends at Olive Springs for kindness shown them in aiding in the funeral of their mother and wife here on Sunday. Mr G L SHAW, wife and little son Albert, Mr and Mrs T G ELLIS of Atlanta, came up Sunday and spent the day with Mrs J H YORK and Mr J H YORK Jr and family. Mr and Mrs Newton ROE of Marietta spent Sunday here with Mrs ROE's father, Mr G W NEWSOME. Miss Francis DAVIS who is assistant in the school here is boarding with Mrs Jessie L DANIELL. Mr DANIELL came Sunday from Atlanta to be with his folks. A large number of young people from Olive Springs attended the box supper at Milford on Saturday night. Mr and Mrs C G MATTHEWS came up from Smyrna Sunday and atended the funeral of Mrs MATTHEWS cousin, Mrs R A TURNER, at Maloney Springs. Mr G E CROW made a business trip to Atlanta on Saturday. Prof G W DANIELL was up Sunday from Atlanta.
