From the Marietta Journal dated Thursday, June 4 1908:

POWDER SPRINGS

Misses Emma LEWIS and Mamie VAUGHAN returned home Saturday from school at Athens.

Dr M T MARSHMAN and daughter, Lucile, attended the funeral of his niece at Villa
Rica last week.

Miss Elsie MONK of Bremen spent the week-end with Miss Roberta MURRAY.

Mrs Margaret LINDLEY is visiting her daughter, Mrs R A SMITH, in Thomaston.

Mr W F BELL and family attended the funeral of Mrs BELL's brother, Mr John
BAGGETT of Winston, last Friday.

Miss WARLICK of Kirkwood is the charming guest of her sister, Mrs E D HALE.


PROVIDENCE

Born to Mr and Mrs George BLACKWELL last Thursday, a fine 10-pound boy.

We are sorry to note that Mr Billie SAULS, who has been sick for some time, is
very low.

Mr Oscar SAULS of Marietta was the guest of his uncle last Sunday.
