Powder Springs High school closed Thursday night, May 26th with a splendid entertainment of which Prof PHAGAN and Misses Agnes RICE and Bodie SCOTT and the pupils deserve much credit. This has been a very satisfactory term of school and the patrons are pleased with the progress that has been made. Mr and Mrs C A CAMP, Miss Bessie RAGSDALE, Mrs W J TAPP, Miss Louise TAPP and Miss Virginia TAPP formed a congenial party that motored at Atlanta the past week. Powder Springs people attended and thoroughly enjoyed commencement at the A & M school, and we were very proud of our own boys and girls who graduated Tuesday night. They were: Miss Lucille McTYRE, Miss Nina MOORE, Messrs Lowell and Lenoir HARRIS, Miss Lena Mae HARRIS, Miss Idelle and Mr Vivian PETRIE. Miss Lucille McTYRE won a gold medal for proficiency in music. Mrs JONES and daughter, Miss Maybell, of Atlanta, were visitors of Mr and Mrs J B OGELSBY the past week and attended the A & M commencement. Mr Walter JENNINGS, who sustained injuries while playing ball some time ago, is able to be out with aid of crutches. His many friends are delighted to see him improving. Mr Ralph McTYRE is able to be wheeled about in a chair and is improving as rapidly as possible.
