His condition has been critical for over a year. He bore his suffering with such calmness, never murmuring, as only a true Christian can. He was a splendid citizen, a kind neighbor and a loving father. He was a faithful and true member of the Baptist church, always interested in anything for the good of his church and community, he being a deacon in his church for a number of years. Mr BELL leaves two devoted children, Mr Walter BELL and Miss Gertrude BELL, and one little grandson, Walter, Jr., his wife having preceded him more than a year. His funeral was held at the Baptist church Saturday morning, conducted by his pastor, Rev A J MORGAN and Rev J M SPINKS. Mr and Mrs Walter BELL, Mr and Mrs Fletcher BELL and Mr Robert BELL, of Atlanta, attended the funeral of Mr Warren BELL. Mrs Della MICHAEL and children of Alabama are visiting his (sic) parents, Mr and Mrs Jess BOOKOUT. Miss Bessie RAGSDALE is visiting her sister in Atlanta for a few weeks. Mr and Mrs T N CAMP and Miss Bennie Lou CAMP came last week from Florida, where they spent the winter. Master Robert SPRATLIN of Atlanta is spending some time with his grandmother, Mrs K W SPRATLIN. Miss Dean McKINNEY is taking a much needed vacation. She is going to take a business course in August. Mr and Mrs Ben GIBSON and children and Miss Margaret HUGHEY of Atlanta were the Sunday guests of Mrs Maggie LINDLEY. Mr and Mar Clyde SCOTT and baby, of Athens, were the week-end guests of Mr and Mrs A J LANDERS. Mr Lon BRADY of Atlanta visited his home folks Sunday. Quite a crowd of our young folks are at Factory Shoals this week camping. Messrs J B BOOKHART and Roy BUTNER are at home from the Georgia University. Rev HARRIS, Methodist pastor, with his family, moved to Ringgold the past week to make their home. Brother HARRIS and family have many good friends here who regret to see them leave. Miss Jerrell BARNES of Austell was the Sunday guest of his (sic) sister, Mrs F P LINDLEY. Mrs Warren FLORENCE of Atlanta spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs Cliff NESTLEHUT.
