The ceremony, which was performed by Rev Frank E JENKINS, was witnessed only by the near relatives and a few intimate friends. To the strains of the wedding march, played by Miss Claro RAY of Jonesboro the bridal party entered and stood before an altar of green and white. The bride's gown was fashioned of satin and georgette and her long veil was caught to her hair with orange blossoms. Her traveling suit was burgandy, worn with grey hat and accessories to match. They left immediately for a trip to Florida. Miss Lucile ARNOLD spent Friday night with the Misses LEWIS on her way to Atlanta, where she teaches in the public schools. Miss Ethel McGEE of Atlanta, Miss Claro RAY of Jonesboro, Miss Louise DUNCAN and Mr Will DUNCAN of Douglassville were the out of town guests of the BUTNER-FLORENCE marriage. Miss Dora GILMORE arrived Sunday from her home in Jackson to resume her duties in the school. Mrs Coy HUNT has returned home after a few days visit here with her parents. Miss Blanche CUNYUNS is visiting her relative, Mrs C T LEAKE. Miss Gladys LINDLEY from Macland spent part of last week with Mrs W L FLORENCE. Little Miss Lillian WOLF, daughter of Mr and Mrs J W WOLF, was right badly burned Friday when her clothing caught fire from an open grate. She was just recovering from the flu. Mr Parks LINDLEY spent Sunday in Atlanta. Mrs F E JENKINS is visiting her mother in Atlanta.
