From the Marietta Journal & Courier dated Friday, December 29 1916:

ROSELANE

Mrs T E WOODALL of Chattanooga, Tenn. spent the week ending with her sister, Mrs
J L CROW.

Mr and Mrs Homer AKINS and children visited his father of Smyrna last week.

Miss Ola WHITLOCK is visiting friends in Atlanta this week.

Mr and Mrs Curtis REED visited her mother last Sunday.

Miss Bonnie CAFFEY is spending Christmas with home folks near Sandy Plains.

Married last Sunday Dec. 24 at the home of the bride's parents by Rev J T
LANGLEY, Miss Arrie GREGORY and Mr T J FARMER of Ball Ground.  The happy couple
will be at home with her mother.  We all extend our best wishes toward the young
couple through life's journey.

Miss Beulah CASSIDY and Mrs E L GANN are spending Xmas in Etowah, Tenn.

Mr and Mrs W W BUTLER are visiting her aunt Mrs J C KENDRICH part of this week.

Mr and Mrs J H HULSEY of Atlanta spent a few days with his brother, Mr J A
HULSEY, this week.

Mr Milliard FARMER is visiting his mother at Ball Ground this week.

The Christmas dinner given by Mrs J A HULSEY was greatly enjoyed by all present
which was Mr J C KENDRICK and daughter, Mr and Mrs J H HULSEY of Atlanta, Mr and
Mrs W W BUTLER, Mr and Mrs S J BELL.  A delightful dinner was served.

Mr and Mrs Horace HYDE are visiting relatives in Ball Ground this week.

Mr Bela BARNES of Dayton visited friends and relatives here a few days this week.

Mr and Mrs Luke QUALLS are visiting her mother near Holly Springs this week.

Mr and Mrs Denson JONES visited his sister, Mrs GREGORY, last Sunday.

Mrs Tom ARADILE is real sick at this writing.

Married Sunday Dec 24 at Rev JAMESON, Miss Lillie CROOK and Mr Charley McCOLLUM.
 The witnesses were Mr and Mrs Joe KIRK of Rome and Miss Lucy CROOK and Mrs
Annie CROOK.  They left soon for Atlanta; their home will be at Rome.  We all
wish them a long and happy life.
