SHADY GROVE

There was quite a storm passed through this section Sunday afternoon but no
damage done.

Mr W T Guffin, wife and children spent Saturday and Sunday with the former's
mother near Kennesaw Mountain, who is very ill.

Mr R L Proctor of Etowah, Tenn. was with home folks Saturday and Sunday.

Mr and Mrs J L Fowler and children spent Sunday with the family of Mr Dave
Durham of Benson.

Mrs Ellen Irish of Atlanta spent Saturday night and Sunday with her sister, Mrs
Wiley Mcafee.

We are sorry to note that little Nellie King, who was taken very ill last week,
is not improving very fast.

Mr and Mrs B F Proctor and two children, Nellie and Marvin, spent Sunday with Mr
and Mrs H T Howard of Elizabeth.

Well, July is here and the farmers are preparing to lay by their crops.  We are
always glad to see the good old summer time come when we can sit around in the
shade and eat watermelons.
