Mrs J T GASTON and Miss Mary Will MOORE are visiting friends and relatives in Adairsville. Miss Mae TERRELL is visiting friends in Douglasville. MARRIED - At the residence of the bride's brother, Mr John SEGARS, last Sunday afternoon, June 6th, Miss Carrie Belle SEGARS and Mr W H HALLUM were united in marriage. Rev Mr HANSON officiated. Miss Belle HUNTER, one of Decatur's charming young ladies, is visiting friends in Smyrna. Mrs J R DEAVORS, who has been visiting friends and relatives in and around Smyrna for the past week, left for her home in Barnesville, Sunday. Last Tuesday evening, at the residence of the bride's parents, Miss Dora GANN and Mr Theodore THIGPEN were united in the holy bonds of marriage, Rev A J MORGAN officiating. The young couple left for Dublin, Ga., on the evening train and will make that city their future home. Last Thursday evening about three wagon loads of our young folks enjoyed a moonlight ride to Vinings station and back. It was a jolly crowd and made the welkin ring with their songs and hearty peals of laughter. Quite a number of our young people made a picnic trip to Lithia Springs last Saturday. They report a pleasant time and an unsuccessful attempt to make lemonade out of Lithia Springs water. Mr I B EUBANKS has moved his family from Atlanta to his new residence within our gates. The Epworth League held an enjoyable session last Friday night at the parsonage. This is a good work for the young people and they are becoming more and more interested in it. Its membership increases with every meeting. Mr M TAYLOR and family of Atlanta have moved into his splendid new home recently erected in our neighborhood. Rev ANDERSON filled his regular monthly appointment at the Presbyterian church last Sunday. After the sermon the ordinance of the Lord's supper was celebrated. Mr D J RAY and family of West End have located in our immediate vicinity, occupying the handsome summer home he has just completed.
