With grass growing and rain falling the situation is appalling. Miss Lucy GRIST, a charming young lady of Atlanta, is visiting friends and relatives here. Miss Ada WARNER, formerly of this place but now of Rome, Ga., visited home and friends here Sunday. There were four interments in the cemetery at this place last week. Two were the result of accidents, two from natural causes, and the remains were brought from Atlanta. Mrs Hattie HARDIN and sister, Miss Jessie MOORE, are spending a few days at Indian Springs. Mr M L PETTY, one of Atlanta's "finest on the force", and family are visiting friends and relatives here. Born to Mr and Mrs John BALDWIN a fine baby boy. Mother and son are doing nicely and John is receiving the congratulations of his numerous friends with his broadest smile. I understand Smyrna loses its marshal this week. Got a better position and left us. Well, Joe, we wish you good luck wherever you be. When you get tired roaming, come back and see us. Rev Mr PISE conducted evening prayer service at the Methodist church last Sunday afternoon. Mr Rob MOSS, a handsome and pleasing young man of Marietta, visited us last Sunday. Rev Mr MORGAN will conduct services at the Baptist church next Sunday. Master Alfred BRYANT of Atlanta spent Sunday in Smyrna, the guest of Master Wylie STEPHENS. Mr Frank Neufville, a promising young lawyer of Vinings, Ga., spent Sunday with friends in our town. -Critic File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/newspapers/smyrnaco2367gnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.2 Kb
