Mrs J GASTON has been quite ill for some time, but we hope to see her well again soon. Prof MULLINS, assisted by others, gave us some very fine music last Sunday. Rev BUTTOLPH did not fill his appointment at the Presbyterian Church Sunday morning. Olive Springs has a young lady who has picked 325 pounds of cotton this season. That does fine, but we have two very small girls who have picked over one thousand pound this fall. Death entered our town Oct 16th, 1894, and carried the spirit of Mrs Susie SMITH away to the far beyond. She has been a patient sufferer for many months. She leaves two little boys who now have neither father nor mother, and may God keep them in his tender care and be a father to them in their loneliness. - VERA Mr John PACE is building him a dwelling on Atlanta street. Mrs M S GILBERTS and Mr P Y DANIELL visited relatives at Woodstock the past week. Rev Mr Tom MORGAN preached here last Sunday night to an appreciative congregation, and on Monday night Mr Jud MORGAN gave us one of his eloquent sermons. Prof MIZELL of Atlanta will begin his school at this place the first Monday in November. The Prof is well known in this county as being one among the best of teachers. He has taught in Cobb thirteen years. Mr MULLINS of Douglasville has made up a singing class at this place, and will begin teaching in a few weeks. - ECHO File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/newspapers/smyrnaco391nnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ File size: 2.1 Kb
