Ben F HAYES left Saturday to visit friends and relatives in Suwanee and Pendergrass, Ga. Miss Ada WARNER, a charming young lady of Rome, spent Sunday with friends in Smyrna. Spent a pleasant evening with Prof and Mrs MULOY last Thursday, and naturally conversation drifted to schools and school matters, when Professor informed me that the school at this place was in a flourishing condition, large attendance and deep interest manifested by the scholars - all of which we are pleased to note. T P WHITFIELD and daughter, Mazie, left last Friday to visit friends and relatives at Calhoun. Miss Mazie, the dear little daughter of our neighbor, T P WHITFIELD, is the owner of a poor, motherless little duck and when she started on a visit to Calhoun decided it would never do to leave it behind, because no one would care for it like she would and it would certainly die before she got back. So she boxed the little duck up and carried it along with her and both are enjoying life at Calhoun just now. Dr and Mrs PACE visited relatives at Woodstock last Saturday and on Sunday took in the camp-meeting at Trickem. Miss Allie BENTLEY, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs Dr PACE, returned home last Saturday. Bro J A MORGAN will fill his regular appointment at Smyrna Baptist church next Sunday. Come out and hear him. Naomi Rebecca Lodge meets next Thursday afternoon at three o'clock. Ladies, take notice and govern yourselves accordingly. Rev C T A PISE conducted evening prayer service last Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church. - CRITIC File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/newspapers/smyrnaco392nnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ File size: 2.3 Kb
