Master Fleming Du Bigon celebrated his seventh birthday last Monday afternoon, entertaining many of his little friends. The evening was most happily spent, and the occasion will be long remembered by him and all who were present. Miss Ora McGriff of Kirkwood visited relatives and friends here during last week. Miss Katie Fleming of Smyrna and Mr Leonard C Watts of Atlanta were happily united in marriage Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs C A Fleming, at Creatwood, Rev W Lee Cutts officiating. Only relatives and a few friends of the contracting parties witnessed the ceremony. Immediately after the wedding the bride and groom left for Atlanta where they will make their future home. Congratulations. Mrs G L Hill is visiting relatives and friends in Rome. Mr and Mrs George Croft Legg and daughter, Ruby, of Atlanta, visited his mother here last week. Rev Mr Barrett, the new pastor of the Methodist church at this place, was unable to occupy his pulpit at this regular appointment last week owing to illness of his father. He expects to be with us on his next preaching day.
