From the Marietta Journal & Courier dated Friday, December 29 1916:

SMYRNA

Misses Ethel and Laura BROWN of Atlanta are the guests of Misses Ruby and
Emaline HAMBY.

Mr S D RICHENBAKER and son, Samuel, are spending the holidays with relatives in
South Carolina.

Misses Eva and Ruth PRINTA of Arizona, who are members of the student body at
Lucy Cobb, Athens, are the guests of Miss Nancy Lee POLLOCK for the Xmas holidays.

Among the college set who are at home for Xmas are Messrs Frank HICKS of Auburn,
John CANTRELL of Young Harris and Ula MANNING of Martha Berry.

Mrs Tom DEMPEY of Atlanta is the guest of her mother, Mrs S D IRELAN.

Mr and Mrs L C GILBERT and little son, Lacy, of Macon are the guests of Mrs Jake
C MOORE.

Mrs Henry McGRIFF and daughter, Miss Ora, of Kirkwood are the guests of Mrs Emma
GILBERT.

Misses Gladys HICKS will be hostess to the Hilarity club at her home at Miles
station on Friday afternoon.

Rev W J CULPEPPER left Sunday night for McDonough where he will be the guest of
relatives for several days.

Mr Leon BRIDGES is spending the holidays with relatives in Dawson.

Mrs J W FULLER will entertain at her home on Monday evening for the younger set.
