The Marietta Journal February 15, 1894
UPSHAW

Prof SELMAN made a business trip to Douglasville Saturday and Sunday.

Dr John MOON, son of Rev Mr MOON, has been confined to his room for several
weeks with consumption.

Mr R DOBBS has been very sick for several days and at this writing is not much
better.

Rev L P WINTER preached here Saturday last on "Truthfulness and Strictness,"
which was one of the best sermons we ever heard.  The thoughts set forth in his
discourse were deep and simple and delivered in such a way as to make a lasting
impression on the minds of the bearers, and which if they were followed by all
people, would elevate this nation in such a degree as would meet God's approbation.
