Work has been suspended at the Moon gold mine, on account of Richard BUTLER, the superintendent, having some important business to attend with the officers of the court. He is now boarding with Sheriff P O McLAIN. We hope he will return soon and resume the work. The Moon gold mine is a very rich one, judging from the bottle of nuggets we saw panned out. Macolm and D C OSBURN of Delmar visited friends here Saturday and Sunday. Miss Linnie WEATHERINGTON is quite sick. Miss Clemmie PETREE has been quite sick. Miss Mary POOL is better. Miss Jennie DANIELL has returned home from a visit to her brother at Smyrna. Prof J T EASLEY, our teacher, seems to be devoted to his pupils, or one especially as he visits her every other Sunday.
