Mr ANDERSON joined the city fire department in September, 1889, and rose rapidly to the rank of captain. He was captain of fire station No. 7 for several years. Later his health began to decline and finally, in 1910, he was retired from active duty with a pension on account of physical disability. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from the residence. Interment will take place at Marietta, Ga. A delegation from the Atlanta fire department will attend the funeral. The above from the Atlanta Constitution of Thursday. Mr ANDERSON was a brother of Messrs J D and Elmer ANDERSON of Marietta. He was in his 56th year. The funeral service was conducted by Dr J H PATTON, assisted by his brother, Dr J G PATTON, of the Presbyterian Church of Smyrna, of which church Mr ANDERSON was a member.
