Possibly newspaper of Acworth, GA c. 1903

  Mrs. Bunnie Abbott, wife of Mr. M. Jack Abbott, who pea(cab)ly passed away at 
her(home in)this place at ... o'clock Tuesday morning.
 Mrs. Abbott was born at Powder Springs on April 30, 1847, therefore being in 
her 56th year, and was the daughter of Dr. J.K. and Mrs. Sarah W. Cotton. (sic) 
She was married to Mr. Abbott November 14, 1869, and moved to Acworth in 1879, 
where she resided up to the time of her death.
 Mrs. Abbott was a consisten member of the Presbyterian church... She leaves a 
husband and five children, W.L. Abbott, Joe Abbott, Jack Abbott, Mrs. Nathan B. 
Thompson of Texas, and Mrs. W.P.Martin of Acworth, all of whom were at her 
bedside except Mrs. Thompson of Texas who could not reach here.  She is also 
survived by three brothers, Dr. J.F. Cotton (sic) of Powder Springs, Capt. A.J. 
Cotton (sic) of Thomaston, and George W. Cotton (sic) of Griffin and one 
sister, Mrs. Rebecca A. Mason of Atlanta.  She leaves several grandchildren, a 
nephew, Fred Hull, and a host of friends.
 Rev. H.B. Searight, assisted by Rev. A.J. Morgan, conducted the funeral 
ceremony ... at the Presbyterian church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, the 
services being concluded at the cemetery...

Additional Comments:
The nephew, Fred Hull, was raised by the Abbott's following the premature 
deaths of his parents, Ruben Hull and Lula Hattie Cotten Hull, and the death of 
his older brother, James Ruben. The family name is incorrectly given 
as "Cotton", as the family spelled it "Cotten". I am a descendant of 
Sara "Sallie" Abbott Thompson and welcome any correspondence.
