Mr BABB was 28 years of age, joined the Methodist church at the age of 14 years, and lived a Christian life. Several times during his last sickness he expressed his willingness to go. Said he was prepared to die. He was a faithful Sunday school teacher, always at his post of duty in all church work. He was a Steward in his church at the time of his death. Mr BABB was a man whom every one had confidence in. His daily walk was such that no one could doubt his religion. He was a devoted father and loving husband, a true friend to all. He leaves a wife and five girls to mourn his departure, but they mourn not as those who have no hope, for if they are faithful, they will meet their loved one in the beautiful land. The funeral services were conducted by Rev Artemus LESTER, after which, the body was laid to rest in the cemetery at this place. Those who attended Mr BABB's funeral from Atlanta were: Mr and Mrs J N BABB, Mr and Mrs Emmett BABB, Mr and Mrs Walter McHEATH, Mr and Mrs Jno N McEACHERN, Mr Robt McEACHERN and daughter, Miss Inez McEACHERN. Those from Rome were: Mr and Mrs W O BABB, Mr and Mrs Sam McEACHERN; also, Mr and Mrs David L McEACHERN from Chattanooga, Tennessee, besides a large concourse of loving friends. - Ruby CARD OF THANKS - I take this method of returning my sincere thanks to all our neighbors and friends who so kindly ministered unto my husband, Mr D D BABB, during his sickness and death. My heart goes out in gratitude to all for their many kindly attentions.
