DEATH OF MR E H BAKER

Mr Edward H BAKER died at his home in this city on last Sunday evening about 8
o'clock, after a long illness, being afflicted with locomotor ataxia.  Mr BAKER
was the son of the late Rev J W BAKER, and was a gentleman of the most excellent
character, of a high sense of humor and intelligence.  The disease rendered him
comparatively helpless in his later years and destroyed his usefulness.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs J W WOODROW of Columbia, S C, and Misses
Cliff and Bessie BAKER of Marietta, and one brother, Mr W L BAKER of
Gainesville, Ga.

His funeral was conducted at the family residence on Tuesday morning at 10
o'clock, Rev J H PATTON conducting the service.

The remains were interred in the city cemetery.

The pall bearers were Messrs Joe R LEGG, J W LEGG, J H GROVES, A S COHEN, B G
BRUMBY and E L FAW.

Our sympathy is extended to the bereaved relatives.
