Fred Beasley, 84,
Marietta Resident

Fred Beasley, 84, of Marietta, died Tuesday. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at 
Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Hooker officiating. Burial 
will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park. A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mr. 
Beasley was an Army veteran, having served in World War II. He retired in 1974 
from the City of Marietta as a heavy equipment supervisor. Survivors include 
son, Fred Beasley, Jr.; three sisters, Christine Elrod, Irene Gantt and Ethel 
Cunningham, all of Marietta; three brothers, Gordon Beasley of Kennesaw, 
Starling Beasley of Marietta and Tommy Beasley of Smyrna; several nieces and 
nephews.


Additional Comments:

William Fred Beasley, Sr. was born 11 August 1908 in Cobb County, Georgia to 
William Thomas Beasley and Minnie Ola Hicks.
