The Marietta Daily Journal, Marietta, Georgia, August 1973
Mrs. Minnie O. Beasley, 85, of Rt. 4, Trail Road, NW, Marietta, died Monday 
morning.

Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Rev. 
Leon Plumley officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church 
Cemetery.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Fred Cunningham, Mrs. Frank Lewis, Mrs. 
Max Gantt and Mrs. Lawson Elrod, Jr.; five sons, S.S. Beasley, Fred W. Beasley, 
Gordon L. Beasley and Howard P. Beasley, all of Marietta, and Thomas D. Beasley 
of Smyrna; one brother Charles H. Hicks of Mountain Home, Tenn.; 18 
grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Hay-Gantt Funeral Home in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.

Minnie Ola Hicks Beasley was born 23 Feb 1888 and died 27 Aug 1973. She was a 
daughter of Josephus S. and Martha Frances A. Brown Hicks. She was married to 
William Thomas Beasley on 8 July 1904.
