She was 19 years of age and of a most amiable, cheerful and lovely character and disposition. She had spent most of her life in Marietta and had hosts of friends. Her father and mother live at Riverside, Ga., and were formerly citizens of this place, and have many relatives here. Miss BENTON had been for some time with her grandmother nursing her in a case of fever and in this loyal devotion she contracted the fever which proved fatal to her. Her aged and beloved grandmother is still in a serious condition. The funeral services were conducted from Olinville church, of which she was a member, on Sunday afternoon by Rev R T AYERS; assisted by Rev Mr McCOLLUM. Mr J H MILLER, who has been her faithful Sunday School Superintendent for the past four years, made a beautiful and impressive talk to the crowded house of sorrowing friends. The interment followed at the citizen's cemetery. Carl WILSON, Roy WILSON, Gerald BENTON, Hardy BENTON, Eugene BARMORE and Mr CASTLEBERRY acted as pall bearers. A large family of younger brothers and sisters who survive their sister, share in the sympathy extended by sorrowing friends.
