Before killing himself he cut his wife across the forehead twice, while she was asleep, but the wounds are slight. Mr CAMPBELL had been in bad health for some time. Mr CAMPBELL formerly resided in Marietta, and held the office of Clerk of Cobb Superior Court and County Treasurer. He moved to Atlanta about twenty-five years ago, and became book-keeper for the Potts-Thompson Company. He was the son of the late John G CAMPBELL, and was highly esteemed while a citizen of Marietta. Mrs Peter SMITH, of this place, is his sister. He leaves a wife, two sons and two daughters - Cartledge CAMPBELL, J B CAMPBELL Jr, Miss Sarah CAMPBELL and Mrs H B MORRIS. The remains of Mr CAMPBELL were brought to Marietta on Sunday at 12 o'clock by special electric car, and the interment was in the city cemetery. Cherokee Lodge No. 8, IOOF, attended as Mr CAMPBELL was a member of this Lodge.
