The Marietta Journal  February 4, 1909
We regret to learn of the death of Dr George W CLELAND, which occurred at the
home of his son-in-law, Mr Rutledge ALSTON, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, on the 21st of
January, after a long illness.  He leaves a wife, three sons and three
daughters.  He was a brother of Mrs A HOWELL of Marietta and resided here many
years before going west and practiced his profession.  He had a large number of
friends here who will regret to learn of his death.
