The Marietta Journal  May 28, 1891
DIED - Mr W L COOPER died in this place on last Monday morning very suddenly. 
He had been out in town during the morning, and on going back home, he went out
in the garden and worked a little.  Suddenly he felt a stroke of paralysis in
the back of the head.  He then went to the house.  He spoke to his wife of the
pain, and commenced shedding tears.  He grew rapidly worse and in one hour he
died.  Mr COOPER was 64 years of age last March, and had been a citizen of our
town a long time.  He leaves a wife and a number of grown children to mourn his
death.  The funeral services took place Wednesday morning.  Rev Joel T DAVES
officiaing.
