W D DAVENPORT IS BURIED SUNDAY

Mr William Davis DAVENPORT, age 63 years, died at the residence near New Hope
Saturday evening, Dec. 13th, after an illness of only a few weeks.  Mr DAVENPORT
was a widely known farmer of the New Hope community and his death is a shock to
a large number of friends and relatives.  Besides his wife, he is survived by
one sister, Mrs Katie DAVIS, Lindale, Ga., one brother, Mr M Y DAVENPORT of
Marietta, eight daughters and six sons.  The funeral services were held at New
Hope church Sunday afternoon, Dec. 14th, at 2:30 o'clock.  Rev LANGLEY
officiating.  Interment was in the New Hope cemetery with John S Dobbins & Sons
in charge.
