B. Delk, who conducts the big flour and corn mill 2 miles west of Marietta, was caught in the machinery of the mill this morning and dangerously hurt, having three ribs broken, one ankle fractured and serious bruises about the head and face. It is though he may recover, but his wounds are serious - - - Wednesday, April 22, 1914 pg. 14 Mortuary J. B. Delk, Marietta Marietta, Ga., April 21 - (Special) - J. B. Delk, who was hurt two weeks ago in the shafting of his flour mill, died this afternoon at 2 o'clock. He was a good citizen and a member of a large and prominent family of people in the county. Funeral arrangements have not yet been fixed. Additional Comments: Son of Jackson Delk and his 1st wife, Isabella C. York. He was born November 27, 1857 in Cobb Co., Georgia. He married Virginia F. Royland/Rowland on December 19, 1880 in Cobb Co., Georgia. Virginia died March 19, 1919 in Marietta, Cobb Co., Georgia. They are both buried at Marietta City Cemetery (aka: Citizen's) - Marietta, Cobb Co., Georgia.
