The Marietta Journal, January 10, 1919
The remains of Mr Walter E DOBBS were brought to Marietta and interred in the
family lot at the citizens cemetery, Monday Jan. 6.

Mr DOBBS was born and reared in Marietta, and was the son of Mr and Mrs Ellison
DOBBS, of this city.  Some years ago he went to Conway, Ark., where he was
engaged in the cotton compress business.  A beautiful floral offering sent by
the company for whom he worked attested their esteem for him.

He was fifty six years of age, and is survived by a sister, Miss Fannie DOBBS of
Atlanta, and an aunt, C P THORNTON, of Marietta.  The funeral was conducted by
Dr I A WHITE of the First Baptist Church.
