The Marietta Journal, July 25, 1907
Mr John DUNN, aged 72 years, died at his home near Elizabeth on Tuesday night,
16th inst., after a few weeks sickness.

Mr DUNN was a brave Confederate soldier, and fought in the Virginia campaign. 
He was desperately wounded in a battle, and suffered a great deal in after years
from it.  He was a good and worthy man, an industrious citizen, and was greatly
respected for his integrity of character and uprightness.  He leaves a wife and
two sons, Messrs Will and Frank DUNN.

Dr C E W DOBBS conducted the funeral service.  The interment took place in the
Wilmoth graveyard near town.
