CLYDE T. DAMERON, 79, LOCKHEED RETIREE


     Clyde Thomas Dameron, 79, of Kennesaw, died Sunday.
     Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kennesaw United Methodist Church 
with the Rev. Bob Lanford officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw 
Memorial park in Marietta. The body will be at the church from 1 p.m. until 
the service starts.
     A native of Lynchburg, Va., Mr. Dameron moved to Cobb County in 1920. He 
retired from Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Co. in 1983 after 32 years of 
service. He was a member and past master of the Kennesaw Lodge No. 314 F&AM. 
A longtime member of the Cobb County Democratic Executive Committee, he was 
honored with the All Burruss Award for Outstanding Democrat in 1992. He was 
also a member of Kennesaw United Methodist Church and had served on the 
county planning commission and zoning board of appeals
      Survivors include his wife, Lottie Berry Dameron of Kennesaw; three 
daughters Martha Berry Tidwell of Marietta and Joyce Dameron Anderson and 
Doris Dameron Meadows of Kennesaw; two brothers. Sam Dameron of Lynchburg, 
Va., and Woodrow Dameron of Marietta; three grandchildren; two 
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
      The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Monday at Winkenhofer 
Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw.
