He was always in his place in his church and at his quarterly conferences he loved his church and was a true and tried friend of the preachers. Reading the Bible through he had gotten to Romans 14th chapter the last verse he ever read was the seventh marked that with a pencil. His dear wife and children thought he was getting will until about fifteen or twenty minutes before he died a pain struck his heart. The last words he uttered were I am almost gone. Little Myrtie a sweet little girl of twelve summers got on the bed and rubbed his forehead and said Dear Papa speak once more to me. But too late he died in his wife’s arms a good place to go to heaven from. He told me he was all right he trusted Jesus. The church loses one of its best members. He was a husband in the truest sense. The leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his loss. May heavens blessings rest upon the wife and children.
