He was in company with Mr Bob HOLLINSWORTH at the time, and was under the influence of whisky. He was carried to Dr NOLAN's office where he received treatment. He was conscious, but refused to tell how the accident occurred. He lingered until about 1:40 Thursday morning and died. His remains were carried to Black's undertaking establishment, where an inquest was held by Coroner LYON, with the following jurors: G F B DAVIS, foreman; J P CHENEY, Smith GROGAN, W T DEWBERRY, J M HARDEN and Charles HICKS. The deceased was a shoemaker and had been working for Mr Sloan THOMPSON. He was about 39 years of age and has a mother living in Chattanooga, Tenn.
